Grupo São Salvador Alimentos SA is one of the largest and most important food companies in Brazil, with a strong presence across all stages of the poultry production chain. The company is responsible for everything from the production of hatching eggs to the distribution of fresh and processed products for both the domestic and export markets.

The Need for a Data Governance System

As a large company with diverse operations, São Salvador Alimentos faced the challenge of keeping master data organized and updated efficiently. Standardizing records, streamlining descriptions, and unifying material, service, and supplier records were essential to ensuring information accuracy and operational efficiency.

The Data Governance Project

The master data governance project began with the cleansing and standardization of information essential to the company's operations. The initial steps included:

  • Sanitation of approximately 12,500 materials and services.

  • Cleanup of 15,000 supplier records (legal entities and individuals).

Additionally, a registration center was developed and integrated via API with the Sankhya system, used by Grupo São Salvador Alimentos. This integration was an important milestone in ensuring the maintenance of reliable, real-time data, with a focus on improving information quality and process optimization.

Data Governance with SSA CAD

In 2024, the São Salvador Alimentos Group implemented a Go Live integration with Sankhya, and the SSA-CAD platform became responsible for ensuring record governance within the company. The main objective of this integration is to ensure that all master data, from direct and indirect materials to suppliers and services, is registered with a standard description.

  • Inclusion of administrative data, such as tax, accounting and commercial information.

  • Guaranteed data uniqueness in the ERP, preventing duplication and inconsistencies.
