Cebrace Case: How the SSA-CAD Platform Optimized the Registration Process and Increased Productivity
Cebrace, a national leader in the glass industry, faced difficulties with the process of creating and managing material records after implementing SAP ERP in 2008. Faced with a scenario of slowness, rework, and low automation, the company found in its partnership with CH Master Data | Astrein the ideal solution to standardize processes, gain agility, and ensure higher quality information.
This project was structured in two fundamental stages to completely transform Cebrace's material registration model — and the results were impressive.
Step 1: Specialist Registration Platform to gain agility and quality
Before CH Master Data | Astrein joined, registrations were completed using simple forms, lacking standardization or completeness of essential information. The lack of a structured tool slowed the process down and involved a high rate of rework.
With the renovation of the flat glass furnace in 2009, the demand for new materials grew exponentially, which led Cebrace to search the market for a specialist platform capable of supporting this new volume of data and technical requirements.
The SSA-CAD software from CH Master Data | Astrein was then implemented, with:
50 usage licenses
Key user training in all units
Base load with 26,190 indirect items
Use of description patterns (PDs) already used in SAP migration
This step improved the quality of the database, ensuring that mandatory material characteristics were correctly filled in—essential for the purchasing, supply, and tax departments.
Step 2: Outsourcing the Call Center with the SaaS model CH Master Data | Astrein
In September 2021, Cebrace took another step towards efficiency and transferred all technical support from the Registration Center to CH Master Data | Astrein, using the SaaS model.
The SSA-CAD upgrade included migration to CH Master Data | Astrein servers and the development of automatic integration with SAP, which eliminated bottlenecks, increased process agility, and reinforced operational security.
Furthermore, a recurring operational issue—lack of backup during vacations or absence of an in-house support agent—was resolved through outsourcing. The CH Master Data | Astrein professional now handles administrative validations according to the guidelines established by the company's departments.
